Musician: Saul David Clavano
New Album: “Men’s Wrongs”
Release Date: May 31st, 2024
Details: Saul David Clavano’s new EP “Men’s Wrongs” takes you on a wonderful story of pain, Heartache, and self-exploration into the psyche of someone wise beyond their years. His vocals are an interesting combination of passion, hunger, and such a beautiful melodic high register at times, he really knows how to use his singing as another way to tell his journey. Complimented by lyrics that talk about love, sadness, anger, and awakening the inner spirit, his musicianship I know is just getting started, but I’m excited to watch his evolution unfold.
Standout songs are:
1. “Tired of This (Can I Get a Bit of Sunshine.)”
2. “October”
3. “Shopping Cart Theory”

Musician: XXPLICIT
New EP: “Blind Reality”
Release Date: May 14th, 2024
Details: XXPLICIT’s new EP “Blind Reality” is a wonderful musical landscape into loss, Heartache, figuring out who you are, immortality, and love. Musically he creates a beautiful landscape with songs like “Voided Emotions”, the sample is so melodic and beautiful that it makes me wish the song was just a little bit longer, but maybe that’s the point, that longing. His lyrics have a bite and sadness that I always appreciate when an artist is not afraid to be vulnerable and real. Whether he is talking about love, loss, or self-reflection, with XXPLICIT, what you see is what you get, and I’m so excited to where his future takes him.
Standout songs are:
1. “Voided Emotions”
2. “Deathbed”
3. “In My Head.”

Band: Crumbcatcher
New Album: “Infinite Feedback”
Release Date: July 5th, 2024
Details:
* Note: So, as of the time of writing this, their new album “Infinite Feedback”, has not come out yet, lol, however there are three singles currently out that will be on the track list, so I’m only going to talk about those singles.
I’m already so impressed with the direction Crumbcatcher is going with their music, I cannot wait until their new album comes out! If the singles that are out already are any indication of what we can expect, where in for one hell of a ride!
“Bitcrusher” takes you on a fast paced ride of the anger of a breakup, where you can really feel the pain in his voice, this song really guts me every time I listen to it, this is definitely a standout track for me!
“White Rabbit” is a catchy more upbeat song that according to the band themselves ; “It reflects on the loss of a family member and the complex relationship the narrator had with them.” I love the honesty you feel in this song and the juxtaposition of the upbeat music up against such a heavy topic. Lord knows family relationships are complicated, and I appreciate them taking on such a hard subject, while still making it accessible for everyone, not an easy task.
“Death Bloom” Is a brilliant journey of either a love lost, or a complex relationship with a friend and the anger that unfortunately manifests when you’ve been hurt by someone you care about. I love how his vocals and lyrics start out very reflective of everything that transpired between him and a friend / significant other, and then halfway through he let’s go of the anger and frustration in the moment into an incredibly cathartic release of yelling while the intense guitar shredding emulates his pain he is going through. I absolutely love this song so much, and I really hope they have more songs like this down the pipeline. Whatever their new EP sounds like, I think these singles are all a wonderful step in the right direction of this band and their songwriting. I can’t wait to delve more into what Crumbcatcher has to offer.
Current singles (Out Now):
1. “Bitcrusher”
2. “White Rabbit”
3. “Death Bloom”

Band: King Fossil
New EP: “Scrap Metal Motifs, and Etc.”
Release Date: June 20th, 2024
Details:
King Fossil’s new EP, “Scrap Metal Motifs and Etc.” Gives me that early 90’s Alternative Garage / Cosmic Grunge / Early Radiohead vibe in some songs, but they manage to still stay unique to who they are as a band. I think this EP is a wonderful showcase of their progression as a band and musicians. With my favorite tracks being “Zodiac Ribbon”, “Pieces Don’t Exist”, and “Time is a Drill”. With the crunchy guitar sound and mid tempo beat of “Zodiac Ribbon”, and lyrics talking about love lost, or maybe not quite connecting in the way you would like with someone you care about.
“Pieces Don’t Exist” feels kind of like a sister song to “Zodiac Ribbon” in a sense that our singer might be talking about the same person, just in a different moment, the longing you have for that person and watching them move on without you, up against a surprisingly catchy beat.
“Time is a Drill” is a wonderful song of self reflection about mortality, and how love and relationships can change in the Blink of an eye. I feel the overall musical journey they take us on is the beginnings and decline of a relationship, struggling to come to terms with everything, but coming out stronger in the end. I appreciate this EP for the brutal honesty they have in their lyrics and the rawness musically that compliments the rawness of the artist’s emotions. I’m excited to see what the future looks like for King Fossil, I think this is an awesome beginning to their artistry, and I can’t wait to hear where they take their audience next.
Standout Tracks:
1. “Zodiac Ribbon”
2. “Pieces Don’t Exist
3. “Time is a Drill.”
