VMS:

When did you start writing and performing your music.
What’s your backstory and current lineup.

Bury The Fear:

Roman Graves – Lead Vocals

Zade Rivers – Lead Guitar

Vega Stars – Bass Guitar

Nate Ball – Drums

We all started getting into music, performing and writing music at an early age. Some of us back in early middle days to early high school. In some way, it’s been apart of the entire bands journey since we heard music for the first time, to getting our first instrument, and the rest is history.

Bury the Fear started out as most other bands do. A dream. The band was founded in Arizona where the journey of writing songs started. Only until the the last year of this band, did we really perfect our vision and lineup.

VMS:

What artist or bands inspire you and your sound.

Bury The Fear:

Collectively, we are driven by so many influences. That is one thing that I think makes our sound and song writing process so flawless is we have so many areas to pull from. Our influences consist of bands like Three Days Grace, Killswitch Engage, Velvet Revolver, Avenged Sevenfold and The Script to name a few.

VMS:

What’s your writing process and inspiration for your lyrics.

Bury The Fear:

Our writing process consists of sharing ideas regularly within the group, our drummer could come up with a chord progression while the rest of the guys write a song around it. Our singer could send out a melody and next thing you know we’ve recorded a new song that is the next single.

We really enjoy getting together in person to write out these parts, record a demo and polish it from there. From a lyrical stand point, the best method for us is using what has happened in our lives in a way that can be translated into a song.

VMS:

I love your songs “Move On” and “Blacklist“. What is the inspiration or story behind these songs.

Bury The Fear:

Move On” and “Blacklist“:

We wrote “Move On” as one of our first ballads to really capture struggles in our lives, people that hold you back or have hurt you in some way. For us we wanted to depict lyrically and musically something that can relate to anyone’s situation, and how important it is to always stay in motion, and move on.

Blacklist” was written about our struggles dealing with people who cut you out, push you down, and bully you for no reason. We wanted to write an anthem that depicts our IDGAF attitude and that we’ll always keep pushing back and moving forward.

VMS:

Which local artist would you like to work with and why.

Bury The Fear:

We all really enjoy The Nocturnal Affair out of Vegas. Really great guys, amazing songs and would love a chance to work with them.

VMS:

What’s your overall theme or message of your music.

Bury The Fear:

I think in some ways this will change with time and new songs we put out, but the current message is keep your head up, move on to greater things, don’t let anyone sucker punch you in life and stay strong 💪🏻 .

VMS:

Do you have a favorite song that you like to perform.

Bury The Fear:

“Move On”, as of now is that for us. It is certainly one song that when the crowd starts singing it with us, and we lose all ability to hear ourselves, it is a chilling and amazing experience.

VMS:

Do you have any crazy or interesting stories from working in the music scene.

Bury The Fear:

Nothing crazy that comes to mind, but we have loved being apart of the scene so far. We think that music has a huge presence in Vegas, and that is not always the case in every city.

VMS:

What does the future hold for Bury The Fear.

Bury The Fear:

While we are just getting started, there is more to come from us. We are working on going big, or going home with music video production, song writing, show production… you name it. Our goal is to blow up and build a career.

VMS:

What do you want your audience to feel and experience at one of your live shows.

Bury The Fear:

We want everyone to come to our shows to have fun (for one). And (two), a place where people can heal from that break up, cry over their ex, rage over their stupid boss, jump and have fun, come and just enjoy life. We want a safe space that everyone can be as one, no hate, just love and healing and living ❤️ .
