AOTW: Cromm Fallon and the P200.

Hello Rockstars! Today I’m going to be telling you about are new Artist of the Week:
Cromm Fallon and the P200! Enjoy!

VMS:
“When did you start writing and performing your music, your backstory.”

Cromm Fallon:
“So I have been playing music in town since I was 17. My first band was Acton Town and we played tons of places like Beauty Bar, OG Bunkhouse, and Neon Reverb Festival all while we were underage to be in bars. After that band, I formed The Astaires which lasted a few years. After that band, I started my solo work which morphed into Cromm Fallon & The P200.”

VMS:
“What artist or bands inspire you and your sound.”

Cromm Fallon:
“There’s a lot of influences for sure, but some key ones are Iggy Pop & The Stooges, The Jam, Cheap Trick, Flamin’ Groovies, lots of 1960’s garage rock, and the list could keep going for sure.”

VMS:
“What’s your writing process and inspiration for your lyrics.”

Cromm Fallon:
“It really depends on what’s going on in life at the time or what’s happening in general. There’s times I go on a roll writing and then there’s times I have some serious writer’s block, so I need to travel or something to get that spark back. I also work well under pressure. Like if I set myself a goal to make a song in 2 weeks, then I find myself in the element to really make something I really dig.”

VMS:
“I love your songs “Taste”, “Scars From You” and “Carry Me Down”. What is the inspiration or story behind these songs.”

Cromm Fallon:
“Without giving too much away, “Taste” was a very random inspiration lol. “Scars From You” has a triple meaning in the lyrics.

Listen to “Taste” and “Scars From You” on Spotify:

“Carry Me Down” was a collaborative effort with me and Dillon Vanders who is an Americana/Country artist from Long Beach who is a great friend of mine. That one is about getting over the bustle of Los Angeles and relocating.”

VMS:
“What do you want your audience to feel and experience at one of your live shows.”

Cromm Fallon:
“100% Rock N Roll Energy. We aren’t standing still. You will get a show.”

VMS:
“Which local artist would you like to work with and why.”

Cromm Fallon:
“One local artist that I would like to work with and plan to is my friend Longknife. He’s a great blues guitarist and a sick producer, so I’m definitely looking forward to collaborating soon.

There are lots of great local bands and artists in this town, so I would love to work with those who would be interested in working on ideas.”

VMS:
“What’s your overall theme or message of your music.”

Cromm Fallon:
“Really depends on each song. I view them as their own piece. Some stuff is more angry than others for sure. I don’t really write happy songs. Our new song “Idle Luxury” that will be out soon is about rich people dying.”

VMS:
“Do you have a favorite song that you like to perform.”

Cromm Fallon:
“I’ll always love playing “Out of Control” and “The Next One”. Lots of fuzz bass.”

VMS:
“Do you have any crazy or interesting stories from working in the music scene.”

Cromm Fallon:
“So many! Too many to put. One I’ll never forget though was going on tour to small places in Nevada with Headwinds, Chocolate Jesus, and Spacey Blurr and being threatened by bikers who legit wanted to fuck us up in Ely. This biker leader named Eyeball came up to us and said he was sick of our shit because he didn’t like how Aaron from Chocolate Jesus sang Ring of Fire by Johnny Cash at karaoke after the show. He said, “none of you better disrespect Johnny Cash like that. I’ll kill you, i’ll break a bottle over your damn head.” Right after he said that, the karaoke host said, “Next up, Cromm Fallon to the stage.” So there I go, better not fuck this up. I then sang Rolling Stones Satisfaction and won over the locals and the bikers. They even held the door open for me when I had to load out my gear. Guess I won the respect haha. Weird ass night.”

VMS:
“Tell me about the “Cromm Fallon Presents the P200.” What was the process and inspiration behind this album.”

Cromm Fallon:
“So this album incorporated not just my songwriting, but the songwriting of my P200 bandmates Trueland and Aaron. Having the name Presents the P200 was presenting their outputs in the music and writing. We wanted this album to be louder and a bit more random in a way. Each song was its own thing. There were even synths and tuned down guitars on the album which the first one didn’t have.”

VMS:
“What does the future hold for Cromm Fallon and the P200.”

Cromm Fallon:
“Well I’m not going to stop making music that’s for sure. I’ll be doing this for a long time. For me with the P200, the goal is to release another EP in the next year, get some vinyl pressed, and go tour the East Coast. Our label, Rum Bar Records is in Boston, so we really want to get out there and make some noise.”

What I love about Cromm Fallon and the P200 is their awesome combination of  60’s / 90’s Alternative Rock / Punk Rock with a modern twist. Their influences are truly all over the grid, but they have still managed to bring their own musical take to these sounds for a new generation of Listeners, which is a refreshing change of pace from any of the bullshit on the radio right now and I greatly appreciate that.

Their lyrics are raw and real talking about all the classic rock elements like love, sex, social issues,  and more, taking you on an explosive ride with their unrelenting guitars, and commanding drums, forcing me to get out of my comfort zone and dance, and maybe start a riot. LoL

I genuinely see the passion Cromm Fallon and the P200 have for their music, they have such a wonderful perspective with their sound and lyrics, I really cannot wait to hear their new EP in the future! They have such an amazing journey ahead for them, I truly see great things happening for them, definitely the ones to watch out for!
